A Wellness Visit covers health monitoring and assessment services: vital signs, medication review, blood glucose checks, fall risk assessment, chronic disease monitoring, and similar tasks. These visits focus on observation, education, and proactive health management. A Skilled Care Visit covers clinical procedures that legally and professionally require a licensed RN: wound care, PICC line dressing changes, injections, catheter management, IV medications, and similar skilled nursing tasks.

Yes. If your situation requires both monitoring and a skilled procedure (for example, wound care plus vital signs and medication review), we can accommodate that in a single visit. When booking, select the Skilled Care Visit type and describe your needs in the intake form.

Absolutely. With your permission, our nurses are happy to communicate with your primary care provider, specialist, or care team regarding your visit findings, any concerns noted, and your overall status. We believe good care is coordinated care.

Yes. Once you've had a visit with one of our nurses and established a relationship, you can request that nurse for future visits. We encourage continuity of care; having the same nurse over time means they know your history, your preferences, and what normal looks like for you.

NW Private Nurse Partners charges a flat price per visit, built on a simple $85-per-hour nursing rate. A Wellness Visit is $85 and a Skilled Care Visit is $115, each a full hour with a registered nurse. Every new patient's first visit also includes a one-time $50 initial assessment and administrative fee — so a first visit totals $135 (Wellness) or $165 (Skilled Care), and every visit after that is just the flat visit price. Prices include the nurse's travel anywhere in our service area, you see the exact total before you confirm a booking, there are no membership fees, and there is no charge for a visit cancelled at least 48 hours in advance.

The initial assessment and administrative fee is a one-time $50 charge on each new patient's first visit — it is never charged again, for any type of visit. It covers the work of starting your care properly: your nurse takes a complete health history, reviews every medication you take, records your baseline vital signs, and sets up your patient record, all within the same hour as your first Wellness or Skilled Care Visit. That baseline is what lets your nurse spot meaningful changes on every visit that follows.

NW Private Nurse Partners is a direct-pay service and does not bill Medicare, Medicaid, or private health insurance. This is a deliberate choice: it allows us to provide care on any patient's schedule without prior authorization requirements, coverage restrictions, or visit frequency limits imposed by insurance plans. Many patients find that the flexibility and quality of care easily justifies the out-of-pocket cost.

You pay by credit or debit card when booking online through our secure Stripe payment system — Apple Pay and Google Pay work too. Payment is collected when you book, and a visit cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice is fully refunded.

In most cases, yes. Home nursing services from a licensed RN qualify as a medical expense under IRS guidelines and are eligible for payment from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). We recommend confirming with your plan administrator. We will provide a detailed receipt for every visit.
